Children who need adoption
Older children
ACE are looking for adoptive families for children of all ages. Children over the age of 5 often are less likely to be adopted. However, there are several benefits to adopting older children as there is usually much more information known about their health, development, personality, likes and dislikes. They may also have a greater understanding of their life story and the decisions made which means that their adoption can be talked about openly.
“Ben is 10 years old. His early life was quite chaotic, and his needs were neglected. Since coming into foster care he has flourished. He loves swimming and gymnastics. He enjoys school and has some extra support to help him. Ben is described as shy, kind, and caring. Ben’s younger sibling has been adopted and Ben would like his own adoptive family too.”
