Non Violence Resistance (NVR) is an approach for parents experiencing serious difficulties such as child to parent violence or other safeguarding concerns such as children putting themselves at risk of harm. NVR is a way for parents to build or rebuild a strong connected relationship with their child/ren. |

2024/25 Course Dates: Cohort 1 - 16/1/2025, 23/1/2025, 30/1/2025, 6/2/2025, 13/2/2025, 27/2/2025, 6/3/2025, 13/3/2025. Times: 9.30 to 11.30am This programme will be facilitated by Emma Hornsey (ACE) and Sarah Fisher (Connective Parenting NVR Practitioner and Educator). Following the group sessions each family will have four 1 to 1 support sessions. Cohort 2 - 1/5/2025, 8/5/2025, 15/5/2025, 22/5/2025, 5/6/2025, 12/6/2025, 19/6/2025 Cohort 3 - 18/9/2025, 25/9/2025, 2/10/2025, 9/10/2025, 16/10/2025, 23/10/2025, 06/11/2025 Times: 9.30 to 11.30am These programmes will be facilitated by the ACE Therapeutic Team. Following the group sessions each family will have four 1 to 1 support sessions. |

Arrangements |
Cohort 1 consists of eigh weekly group sessions, held virtually, followed by four individual sessions which will be arranged separately with families. Cohort 2 and Cohort 3 will consist of seven weekly group sessions, held virtually, followed by four individual sessions which will be arranged separately with families. Places on this programme are usually funded via an application to the Adoption and Special Guardianship Support Fund.
