Therapeutic and sensory based parenting programme - Training

This course covers therapeutic parenting at an enhanced level. It focusses on DDP and PACE principles that enable adoptive parents' to become more attuned to their child’s needs looking beyond the presenting behaviours.

The course aims to increase adoptive parents' understanding and responses to the child’s sensory needs.

Cohort 2 – 5/3/2025, 12/3/2025, 19/3/2025, 26/3/2025, 2/4/2025, 9/4/2025.
Cohort 3 – 4/6/2025, 11/6/2025, 18/6/2025, 25/6/2025, 2/7/2025, 9/7/2025.
Cohort 4 – 17/9/2025, 24/9/2025, 1/10/2025, 8/10/2025, 15/10/2025, 22/10/2025.
Cohort 5 – 12/11/2025, 19/11/2025, 26/11/2025, 3/12/2025, 10/12/2025, 17/12/2025.

Time:

9.30am - 1pm

3.5 hr sessions delivered weekly over 6 weeks with follow on embedding session(s).

An application to the Adoption Support Fund is required.
