Attachment in schools and managing educational transitions - Training
Course description |
The course considers from an attachment perspective the challenges that children who have an experience of early-life trauma can face in the school environment and what this might look like. It aims to support parents to understand their child’s behaviour and presentation in the context of their experiences. It offers strategies to support parents working alongside their child’s school to support their child manage relationships, transitions and changes, unstructured time, emotional regulation, and emotional containment. Finally, it covers the importance of emotional coaching, SEN processes and why parents’ well-being is crucial to their capacity to supporting their child. |
